General Description:
Red Crow Community College is a First Nations college with locations in Standoff and Lethbridge. Our mission is to meet the cultural, educational, and training needs for Kainaiwa and beyond. The college provides leadership through its programs and service to nurture self-realization based on Kainayssinni.
The Sessional Instructor will work as an instructor for the Niitsitapi Business Administration Program for the Fall session at Red Crow Community College. The Instructor will apply teaching skills to instructional setting, specifically in respect to principles and practices of a post-secondary education and culturally relevant process and content. This individual must possess exceptional communication skills both verbal and written. The instructor must be very organized, have a strong work ethic, proficient computer skills with the ability to try new systems, and a willingness to learn.The instructor will work with Elders and colleagues to ensure that course instruction is provided within the context of Indigenous Knowledge and experience.
Necessary Knowledge, Abilities and Skills:
• Instructor position requires a Masters
• Equivalencies will be considered for candidates that possess five or more years of work experience in an institutional or educational environment.
• A working knowledge of Blackfoot values and beliefs and must role model in teaching and learning.
